Erich recently finished writing his first Novel and it has been published as an eBook. It is available at all the major eBook stores including Kindle, iBook, and Nook. Type in my name in the search to find it (but you have to spell it right: Erich Glaubitz). The name of the book is Twin.
Here is a short description of the book:
Avant-garde pianist Michael Heller’s music is dark, angry and dissonant, but it is also brilliant. His compositions are an outpouring from a troubled and disturbed childhood—a childhood devastated by his father abandoning his family when he was six … and by his twin brother Ray seeking revenge by savagely murdering their father when he was eleven.
Now after years of struggling, performing his music for less than appreciative audiences, Michael is on the verge of a major breakthrough in his career—one that could finally free him from being financially dependent of Ray. Only one problem, Michael’s twin will do anything to keep that from happening, including murdering those in his life.

A never before released Yellowfly song is now available for download on Yellowfly's myspace page. The song "Glass Sky" was part of a three song ep recorded shortly after the "Mystic chords of memory" CD. Though the other two songs "Hero" and "Little miss innocent" made it to the "Yellowfly" CD, "Glass sky" never did. Go to Yellowfly's myspace page to check it out.

know Rod, he was the original rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist for the

him. We hope to have him ready for our Brokerage show this summer.

After around 6 months of work (make that 2 years if you count the writing), Yellowfly's 3rd CD, "Portraits from a yellowed mind" is finally finished! No one thought we could ever top "Mystic Chords of Memory," but we did it! It is the best work we have ever done as a band and contains the best collection of songs I have ever written. Oh, by the way, if you haven't noticed, I'm really proud of this CD. It goes out to the manufacturers on Tuesday, so we should have it in our hands in around three weeks. We'll make our next show on June 24th at the Blue Parrot in Massapequa a CD release party.

This past weeks gigs were a blast. First, our Blue Parrot gig
with Yellowfly was loaded with great laughs and fun music (including the off
the cuff song, "She's out of her f**king mind"--those of you who
were there will know what I'm talking about).
Then opening for Roger McGuinn was awsome. The Bolton Center is such a great
venue. The audience was amazing. We had fun singing "My Religion"
together. Backstage I jammed with Roger a bit and chatted up a storm. He even
asked me for my autograph!!! Here are a couple pict's of me and Roger:

Erich just got news that his song "Sensation" has gotten 5th in the Pop catagory in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. The contest is one of biggest songwriting contests in the world. Sensation was up against around 100,000 songs!
Rod will be returning for one night on February 6th at The Blue Parrot. See the Schedule page for details.
12/27/03
We are releasing a DVD containing our new Family Photographs video and a thirty
minute video called the "Yellowfly story 2000--2003." "The
Yellowfly story" contains live clips and television interviews spanning
our first 3 1/2 years as a band. This is for pre-order only.
Hey everyone, check out some pictures from the band portion of our video shoot for Family Photographs!
Rod's last gig with us will be October 29th at Chetty Red (28 E. 23rd Street, NYC). We start at 9:00, then we party. There will be two other bands. After this gig we will be taking a short break to do some more writing and recording.
We finally completed the taping of our music video for "Family Photograph's" last week. Since half of the video was to be shot outdoor's, we had to wait for just the right weather (as well as permits and other scheduling stuff). We shot on top of a hill ("the house on the hill that will never be built"). It was f**king cold up there, but we had a blast doing it.
Yesterday I got to see the first cut of our video. It looks great! More to come...
Sad news--Rod will be leaving us for good on November 1st. He got a job offer in London that he can't refuse. Ever since the internet bubble burst he's been finding it tough to get a decent paying job (and being in an original band in NY doesn't help much!); coupled with the recent birth of his first child--so well, it's hard to argue with him.
Rod (aka the quiet one) has been a rock for this band. His solid rhythm playing and and backing vocals have been a perfect compliment to the freewielding style of Erich, Pat and Mike. He will be greatly missed!!! Rod will be moving to London on November 1st. We will be doing one last show with him on October 29th in NYC--details to come.
Rod Monti will be playing his last Long Island gig with Yellowfly
this Friday, October 17th!!!
We will be playing at The Big East (227 4th Ave. Bayshore) @ 10:00. Let's
celebrate this sad occasion New Orleans style--with a big PARTY!!!
September 23rd, 2003
Last Friday we went to the Premier of "First Person," which features two
of our songs. The movie was great and the songs were right out in the front,
not buried on distant car radio. It was quite cool. The website for the movie
is supposed to be up and running today. http://www.doyouliketowatch.com
We will be doing an acoustic set at Mulcahy's in Wantagh on Tuesday, September
30th at 8:30. The Don Hills show on October 9th has been cancelled.
September 2nd, 2003
Well, today I got to see the trailer for the upcoming movie, "First
Person" (for which Yellowfly has landed two songs) and all I can say
is, "wow." I'm looking forward to the premier which is on September
19th. I'll let you all know of it's release when I find out.
On September 6th and 7th Yellowfly will be shooting its first video. We'll
be doing "Family Photographs." The director and us have come up
with some great ideas for it so we're all real excited.
Our next Yellowfly gig will be on September 12th at Munchaba Lounge. By the
way, last Friday at The Big East was soooo much drunken, crazy fun. Thanks
all that came!
On Wednesday, July 23rd, Erich was rushed to the hospital with severe pains
in his stomach. It turned out to be an acute case of appendicitis. Unfortunately
it meant missing Yellowfly's Bar Kar gig on the 25th . Thus we had to drop
out of the Long Island Music Festival. Erich and the band should be up and
running again by mid August.
JUNE 2003:
We just got ot a nice review in Goodtimes Magazine for our new CD. Check it
out on the "Press" page.
Well, we were talked into doing that Long Island Music Festival again. We
swore we would never do it again (we were obviously the best band, but came
away with second). Anyway, the first round for us will be at McGuires in Bohemia
on Sunday June 29th. Come down and support the cause!
APRIL 2003:
Two of our songs (Sadistic and Change) will be featured in an upcoming movie
called "First Person." We'll keep everyone informed as to a release
date.
FEBRUARY 2003:
The Erich Glaubitz band has a new CD and a new name, Yellowfly.
THE NEW CD:
In the summer of 2002, the Erich Glaubitz band began writing songs for a new
CD. They wanted this CD to more closely represent their live sound, which
was a bit more aggressive, raw and jamming than the polished and buffed earlier
recordings. The trick was to do that while still retaining the essential qualities
of a great song--great lyrics, catchy melody and infectious music--which was
what the EG band was known for.
THE NEW NAME:
With the new CD has come a new band name. The biggest problem the Erich Glaubitz
band faced over its two years was that no one could pronounce the name.
TV anchors, announcers and DJs couldnt say and the press couldnt
spell it. It was a tough decision, seeing all the great press and publicity
the band had been receiving since Mystic chords of Memory (and,
of course, the possibilities of making a great Erich Glaubitz band logo were
endless--just kidding), but they all felt it would be a benefit in the long
run. Thus, as of February 2003, the Erich Glaubitz band will be called YELLOWFLY!
